Buses to the Springfield-Franconia Metro Station

Fairfax Connector buses run to the Springfield-Franconia Metro Station all day, Monday through Friday, and on a limited schedule on Saturday. (See schedules and maps.) Westhaven residents can catch the Connector at the bus stop on Old Keene Mill Road just past the 7-11. The ten-minute ride to the station costs $1 (See Fares and Transfers for information on passes and transfers).

There are several Fairfax Connector routes, including 310, 321, and 322, that are convenient for Westhaven residents, with stops at the west entrance of our community. A convenient bus stop is located on Old Keene Mill Road. See the South County Bus Schedules and Maps System Maps to identify your routes.

Westhaven residents can also use TAGS Springfield Circulator shuttle service, S80 or S91 route, that makes a loop through the Springfield business district. The bus fare is only 25 cents.

Metrobus Service

The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) provides express commuter bus service from Old Keene Mill Road to the Pentagon (connecting to metrorail) via a number of routes on the Springfield, Orange Hunt and Burke Center Lines. Buses providing the fastest, most direct service to the Pentagon 18P, 18J, 18G and 18H.

Metrorail Service for the Washington, DC Area

Westhaven is closest to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station, a stop on the Blue line. Bus service also connects Westhaven to the Huntington Metro Station, on the Yellow line. Both stations have commuter parking. Check the Metrorail Web page for route maps, schedules, and fares.

Park & Ride and "Slug" Line

The Springfield Plaza park-and-ride lot is located at the corner of Old Keene Mill Road and Bland Street. It offers several options for commuters who would like to access the fast-moving HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes on I-95 and I-395 and the closest Slug Line.
